Hotti is a cultural space in Zurich-Hottingen, housed in a former attic whose walls have a lot to say. Layers of history are embedded here — painting classes, secret murals, a beehive tucked in a corner. Rather than erasing these traces, Hotti builds on them, inserting itself into a continuity while opening new chapters. The space sits within a small cultural ecosystem: the school below, the Kunsthaus and the theatre nearby. Hotti aims to be an active part of this fabric — a bridge between generations, disciplines, and audiences, open to the whole neighbourhood. Artists from visual arts, music, performance, and experimental fields are invited to develop work in direct relation to the site and to one another. Collaborations across disciplines are encouraged; projects unfold at their own pace, leaving room for experimentation, research, and work in formation. At its core, Hotti is a place to gather, test, and converse — where artistic community is built collectively, and where the space itself remains a protagonist in every story told within it.
